Chicago Hardy Fig Tree

Fig Chicago Hardy Fig Tree, for sub freezing temperatures, produces sweet coffee colored medium sized figs that have a bright appetizing strawberry color flesh with excellent flavor. High-yielding tree that is easy to grow. This tree can withstand temperatures down to -10 degrees. Rich, juicy, and sweet figs, are high in fiber, magnesium, copper, and potassium which helps lower blood pressure they also have powerful antioxidants.

  • Drought-tolerant and pest resistant. This cold hardy Fig can be grown as an indoor plant also, during the winter season.
  • Cold-hardy, high-yielding fig tree that is productive and easy to grow.
  • Bears delicious medium-size figs. Bears fruit early on new growth. Fruit produced on the older wood will appear in early summer and fruit on new growth will appear in early fall.
  • Grows well in containers.
  • These Cold hardy Fig can take up to 20 degrees F.
  • Ripens/Harvest July through frost.
  • Mature size is 15-30 ft high and wide

Note: The plant is shipped in its pot, firmly secured with several layers of clear tape, thereby avoiding any shuffling and moving during transit. The plant reaches you with minimal damage very safe and secure. We have been shipping plants like this for several years (plants are sometimes shipped in smaller pots for safety and ease of shipping). Most plants go dormant in Fall and Winter and will lose most of their leaves looking dead and dry, this is very normal. They will flush out in Spring.
